Degreed announces product strategy event, Vision

October 4, 2022

The virtual product event will cover the learning cross-roads every organization faces today, Degreed’s product direction for the core platform and post-acquisition of Learn In, and how BMO Financial Group continues to stay at the forefront of workforce development.

Degreed, the learning platform relied on by hundreds of global companies to build skills for today and tomorrow, is holding Vision, an online event, on November 16th at 11:00am ET. Degreed CEO and founder David Blake will share his vision of how Degreed, Learn In and skill analytics tie together to advance people and businesses. It will also feature Gina Jeneroux, Chief Learning Officer at BMO Financial Group sharing a peer-to-peer view of the modern learning and skills tech ecosystem.

Increased learning complexity

Vision takes place at a critical juncture for learning leaders, with 89% of business executives believing that skills are becoming more important in defining work — but only 18% feel that their workforce skills are being used to their full potential. Learning and talent leaders are being asked to manage and deliver more than ever before – at scale, with speed and impact. Many organizations recognize the importance of learning in establishing an agile, ambitious workforce that can handle today’s challenges and tomorrow’s surprises. But as the learning ecosystem complexity rises, more leaders are finding it hard to match their goals, create an effective learning culture and grow their talent.

As HR industry leader and analyst Josh Bersin explains, “The corporate training industry is over $320 billion in size and growing in importance every day. Companies are struggling with employee retention, transformation, and challenges with hybrid work while technologies and industries change faster than ever. How can CEOs and CHROs keep up? The answer is very clear: build an enterprise capability in learning, capability development, and career growth.”

The next decade

Vision will hone in on this challenge, a decade after Degreed pioneered an employee-first approach to learning. Key learning leaders from inside and outside Degreed will share this vision for the industry and what the next decade will bring for Degreed. They will share how learning, skill building, and insights are being connected so organizations can adapt faster, plus how Degreed is — at its core — a movement to make all education and skills matter, irrespective of how they are acquired.

David Blake CEO and founder of Degreed said, “Learning is the only way to become more equipped to meet the needs of today and tomorrow. Degreed pioneered and led a new employee-first approach in corporate learning that has led us to where we are today, with 9 million learners relying on Degreed to build the right skills for the future. But that is only the start. Vision will set out how we intend to support our clients in orchestrating a richer set of learning experiences that drive greater business impact both today and for whatever comes next. Where learning is always accessible, and all education and skills are recognized, irrespective of how they are acquired.”

Vision will take place at 11am ET on November 16th. Click here to register your attendance.
